The special gifts that you have lovingly labored over deserve to be wrapped and tagged in style. Luckily, there are graphic artists who share our passion for hand-made gifts and have made some really cool gift tags available to download and print.

When you gift your handmade items, do you include instructions for washing? In the past, I have included skein wrappers or a hand-written note, but I didn’t have to look around on the web too hard to find some free printable tags that are perfect for our hand-made items. You can google “printable knit gift tags” you will find many more for the holidays that are nearly upon us and for gift-giving occasions throughout the year. Here are a few of my favorites for this year.

There are tags and care labels that are specifically for hand knits.

And some for crocheted gifts, too. How ’bout those big tags to wrap around the gift inside the box?! Oo-la-la, move over boutiques!!

Some of these printables have been available for a few years, but I still love them. Punch a hole and add a ribbon, yarn, or crochet thread tie.

Somewhere along the way I acquired a ream of card stock that I use for printing these, but regular old printer paper works just fine, too.

Hint: If you are in a hurry (because it is that hurried time of year), the tags with straight edges are quicker to cut out.

I started a Pinterest board here to keep these tags together (and to add new ones as I stumble across them).

Time’s a wasting’… keep stitching so you can start wrapping!

Wishing all of you the most joyous, safe, stress-free and fun-filled holiday season!
